What can you learn from a farm?

A lot, it turns out! There’s arithmetic in the garden, science in the milking parlor and history grazing in the pasture. At Rural Resources, we believe there’s a lesson in every clump of dirt and we’re eager to share those lessons!

Field trip activities are geared towards grades Pre-K through 6 and activities can be geared to any age or learning level. The base cost is $7 per student with more complex activities available for an increased fee.

We welcome public school, private school, home school, churches, clubs and organizations. Milk a cow and learn how butter is made, see what worms eat and how they change the soil, plant a seed and study the life cycle of a plant.

Activities in our field trip program align with the Tennessee Common Core Curriculum.

Greenhouse: Learn about photosynthesis, the greenhouse effect, seed propagation and plant parts! Students will have the opportunity to taste different edible plant parts. SL1, SL2, SL3, 1.0A, 1.MD, 2.0A, 2.MD
