WHO WE ARE: broadly speaking, we are a bunch of folks who love to eat! We are dedicated staff, members, volunteers, and program participants along with lots of plant and animal friends!  We are committed to furthering sustainable agriculture and making available locally produced food and farm products.

OUR MISSION:Rural Resources is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the community in the preservation and improvement of agricultural land, preserving our rural heritage, and developing a locally sustainable system of producing and marketing agricultural products 
 

OUR PROGRAMS (WHAT WE DO) Our programs include Soil to Table Community Food Project, Mobile Farmers’ Market, School and After school Gardening, Farm & Food [Teen] Training Project, Farm Arts Festival, Farm Day Camp, and The Four Seasons Grazing Club.

 

 GOVERNACE & FUNDINGAs a 501 c 3 non-profit organization, we are governed by a board of directors that is made up of individuals from our community who are committed to Rural Resources' mission.  The board is selected by a nominating committee and voted on by the standing board of directors.  The new directors are presented each year to our membership at our annual meeting.

Rural Resources is funded by memberships, donations, and grants from private foundations as well as goverment sources.   There is no dedicated stream of funding.   Every penny counts!  By joining Rural Resources, your contribution--however large or small--makes a huge difference.
